Dr Sumaira Aurooj is a local Mackay GP who has experience in all facets of General Practice with a strong focus on Mental health, Women’s Health, Skin Cancer and Chronic Disease Management.
Dr Aurooj graduated her medical degree in Pakistan before moving to Australia. She has since worked at the Mackay Base Hospital and other local GP clinics and completed her Fellowship through James Cook University (JCU).
Dr Aurooj is an accomplished GP with excellent communications skills and a kind, caring nature. She is settled in Mackay with her husband and young children and has lived and worked locally for the past 7 years.

Dr. AJ (Ayoub Hamidipour) is a distinguished graduate from one of Iran’s top universities, bringing over a decade of experience as a General Practitioner to our community. His career journey includes two years of dedicated service in Moranbah, where he refined his skills in general practice and occupational health.
Dr AJ has a special interest in mental health, backed by extensive educational and practical experience. He holds a professional certificate in skin cancer surgery, allowing him to provide expert care for various skin conditions.
Paediatrics is another passion of Dr. AJ’s. He is known for his warm rapport with children and strives to make every visit a positive, comfortable experience for children and their parents.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Hamidipour is an avid runner. This passion for running helps him stay energised and focused, qualities he brings into practice daily.

Dr Indu Vetrivel completed her medical degree (MBBS) in her home country India before immigrating to England where she completed her post-graduate qualifications. Whilst living in the UK for 12 years she worked as an associate tutor at the University of East Anglia, became a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and Gynaecology (DRCOG) as well as a Diploma in Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health (DFSRH). She is trained in performing insertion and removals of subcutaneous implants and intrauterine devices (Implanon & Mirena’s).
Prior to relocating to Mackay she has undergone advanced obstetrics training and gynaecology training in Bathurst Base Hospital.
Dr Indu Vetrivel has a warm nature and places importance on providing a nurturing, supportive environment for her patients. She feels privileged and excited to serve the local community of Mackay as a GP.

Dr. Michael no longer practices in clinic. He now works remotely providing AMA Signoff services only.

Dr Michael Boissezon is a general medical practitioner with post graduate training in General Practice, Aerospace and Occupational medicine with over 15 years of medical experience.
Michael has undertaken formal post graduate education in Occupational & Environmental Medicine, Occupational Drug & Alcohol management as well as Aviation Medicine and has gained invaluable experience working in private Occupational Medicine clinics as well as for large national corporations including Qantas and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia.
Michael has also worked in several General Practice clinics along the east coast of Australia in both New South Wales and most recently in Queensland providing comprehensive medical care across all aspects of General Practice.
Michael holds membership of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, Royal Australian College of Physicians, Australian & New Zealand Society of Occupational Medicine, Australasian Medical Review Officers Association and the Australasian & American Society of Aerospace Medicine.
In his spare time he enjoys undertaking mindfulness activities including meditation, reading, travelling as well as flying.
